About the event

This is a family event for Very Special Kids families located in the western region of Victoria and outer western suburbs of Melbourne.

Join us for a family picnic at Rippleside Park in Geelong. This is a great chance to mingle with locally based families, staff and connect with Very Special Kids volunteers. During the day, the family can enjoy a variety of activities such as face painting, crafts and games.

Rippleside Park features a newly built all-abilities playground with an accessible pathway. We are also excited to share that Geelong All-Abilities Sports Club will be offering bike sessions with their adaptive bikes.

Other details to keep in mind:

  •  Lunch will not be provided. Please bring your own family picnic, picnic blanket, sunscreen and drinks
  • The park is open to the public, with playgrounds, BBQs and undercover areas shared by all visitors
  • Dogs are not permitted within 10 metres of the playground, so we suggest leaving your furry friend at home
  • We will monitor the weather forecast and advise families of any changes due to inclement weather
  • Four accessible parking bays are available on Rippleside Park Drive
  • Public toilets available with registered changing facilities
  • Water taps are available

Please RSVP here by Sunday 8 November.
