24 hours of motion for 24-hour care

On Friday, more than 800 individuals teamed up for the Very Special Kids 24-Hour Treadmill Challenge.

The atmosphere was electric in the marquee – colourful costumes, live entertainment and former AFL stars motivated participants as they took on 24 hours of treadmill motion for 24-hour respite and end-of-life care.

We are thrilled to announce we have raised more than $700,000! Thank you to each and every participant, team captain and donor for their support. You have helped to provide 24-hour care for children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families.

We captured some great snaps that you can view and download here.

Every participant is a winner to us. We are so grateful to everyone who gave up their time to help keep our treadmills in motion for 24 hours. Special shout out to the 500 club who raised over $500 each for the children and families in our care.

We’d also like to acknowledge Jimmy Bartel from 3AW for taking on his own very special walk and raising almost $10,000 for Very Special Kids – read more here. Also, thank you to Corrs Chamber Westgarth for taking on their own onsite challenge.

A big thank you to our event sponsors, 3AW, Novofit and Genesis. The 24-Hour Treadmill Challenge would not have been possible without the support of many other participating organisations, in kind supporters, MCs and entertainment. Our volunteers also put in invaluable time and effort to bring this amazing event to life.

While the event may be finished, you can still support the 24-Hour Treadmill Challenge until June 30. Donate here.

Let’s begin the countdown for the 24-Hour Treadmill Challenge in 2024!
