About the event
Does your family have siblings in primary school who would like to:
- Have some fun during the school holidays?
- Meet some other kids who ‘get it’?
- Share or learn some amazing ways to navigate life?
At our Sibling Days in 2026, we’ll be exploring community — the places we belong, the people who support us, and the ways our communities can help us feel stronger and grow.
On each of our sibling days this year we’ll have two big, fun activities planned for the morning and the afternoon focused on sharing, learning and having fun together.
There’ll be pizza for lunch, afternoon snacks, and plenty of time for board games, card games, drawing and creating, plus soccer, footy and other outdoor fun (weather permitting). Our amazing volunteers will be there throughout each day to make sure everyone feels welcome and included.
If your young person/people are interested, please RSVP using the link below, we’d love for them to come!
For more information, please contact Andrew (amartell@vsk.org.au/0417 543 514) or Lori (lmauerberger@vsk.org.au/0457 727 505). If your young person/people are interested, please RSVP here by Friday 26 June.
Future sibling days will be held on:
- Tuesday 22 September
More information about the activities and plans for the day will be sent to families who register closer to the dates provided.
NOTE – this is a private event for children and families supported by Very Special Kids. We welcome primary aged siblings with a diverse range of lived experiences—whether they currently have, or have had, a brother or sister with a life-limiting condition.

About the event
We know from speaking with many children grief can be a lonely time. ‘Our Space’ has been created to offer opportunity for regular ongoing connection with other children who have experienced the death of a brother of sister. The aim is to provide a safe and caring online space for siblings to gather to have fun, connect and share experiences on a monthly basis, as we have learnt from children how valuable peer support can be.
Please register your interest with Damienne (dmor@vsk.org.au or 0487 523 155) or Meg (mchin@vsk.org.au or 0408 162 411).
