Team challenge raises $465,000
June 7, 2014
In a battle of team camaraderie and personal endurance, treadmills and spin bikes were continuously in motion for a full day to raise $465,000 at the 24 Hour Treadmill Challenge.
We thank all the participants who gave up their time, ran with their hearts, supported their team mates and asked their friends, work colleagues and family to put their hands in their pockets. The $465,000 raised funds 465 bed nights at Very Special Kids House, and smashed the $321,000 that was raisied during the 2013 event.
Andrew Cocks, The Fitness Generation’s National Marketing and Communications Manager / Commercial Sales, explains what makes the event so special and motivates him to be a supporting partner.
“The Fitness Generation congratulates all participants in the 24 Hour Treadmill Challenge on achieving a fantastic result this year. We truly value the partnership with Very Special Kids and are inspired by the work they undertake and the families they helps. Our small contribution of supplying the TRUE treadmills and Schwinn spin bikes over the past three years has been a pleasure. We look forward to helping make the 24 Hour Treadmill Challenge an even bigger event for 2015.”
