Family accommodation

Families can stay in our short-term accommodation onsite at Very Special Kids to be close to their child.

It is very important to us that you and your loved ones can be together.

During respite care, end-of-life care or if you’ve got medical appointments nearby, our onsite family accommodation – The Sanctuary – keeps you close to your child.

Within the Sanctuary we have two self-contained apartments – the Aviary and the Treehouse – and private outdoor spaces.

Aviary

The single-storey Aviary has two double bedrooms and a children’s bedroom. It also has an accessible bathroom suitable for wheelchairs and hoists.

Treehouse

The double-storey Treehouse has a double bedroom on the ground floor, and two double rooms as well as a children’s bedroom and separate lounge area on the first floor. Like the Aviary, it also has an accessible bathroom suitable for wheelchairs and hoists.

Both apartments have everything you need to feel like you’re at home. There’s a lounge room, kitchen, and dining room with a private outside seating area. All bedding and towels are provided.

Within walking distance you’ll find a number of shops and cafes as well as a supermarket to buy what you need. There is free onsite parking and public transport nearby to help you get around. If you’d like to stay at the Sanctuary, please complete the enquiry form below.

Our family accommodation is available for families that are registered with Very Special Kids.

While our aim is to enable families to enjoy the space exclusively, there may be times where the communal spaces will be shared with another family. We prioritise our family accommodation for end-of-life care.
